“Memory in youth is active and easily impressible; in old age it is comparatively callous to new impressions, but still retains vividly those of earlier years.”
The fourth and final summer EP from Bear & Walrus, September, 1846 is four songs about transition and transformation. Mechanical beats hold together a warble of synths and strings with the occasional piano denouement, bridging the end of one project with the start of another.
September, 1846 is available both as a physical package and as a $2 download. The package was designed and printed by Bear & Walrus, produced in a limited edition of twelve. It includes a hand silkscreened audio CD, four signed and numbered digital prints and a letter-pressed chipboard case.
