“Beyond the porcelain fence of the pleasure garden, I hear the frogs in the blue-green rice-fields; but the sword-shaped moon has cut my heart in two.”

Bear & Walrus’ Image Poems is the spiritual follow-up to their debut album Lake Poems… again written and recorded in just 28 days, again inspired by writings about nature. The sound ranges from chiptune pop songs mixed with baroque orchestrations (“Epigram,” “A Year Passes”) to more free jazz inspired improv experiments (the incredible nine-minute “Two Impressions”).

Image Poems is currently available as a digital release and a compact disc.
