“Life’s but a walking shadow, a poor player, that struts and frets his hour upon the stage, and then is heard no more; it is a tale told by an idiot, full of sound and fury, signifying nothing.”
The first proper release from Church of the Undying Bloop, Run / Jump functions almost as a proof of concept recording… two fifteen minute tracks that move through a wide range of ideas and introduce us to a very unique new sound. Mostly improvisational, these recordings seamlessly blend mandolin, guitar, piano, slap bass and Commodore 64 drum beats into a strange sort of folk/chip/hip-hop hybrid.
Run / Jump is available both as a physical cassette tape and as a free download. The cassette tape packaging was designed and printed by Church of the Undying Bloop, produced in a limited edition of seven. It includes an additional thirty minutes of ambient recordings not available elsewhere.
